““Lunar has been a fantastic space for our children to grow their confidence and creativity. Our daughter has transformed this year from someone with high anxiety to someone who has blossomed into herself. She now knows who she is, what she likes and how to communicate that in the knowledge that she will be heard and respected for her individuality. Our son has moved himself from someone who acted impulsively and was constantly surprised by his own feelings, to someone who can stop and consider his options before letting people know what he needs.
Essie is the living spirit behind all this. She exemplifies loving respect, courage and warmth to the Lunar community and the children respond to this in kind. Over our involvement with the Lunar community I have stopped being surprised at the transformation in the children who attend, and begun to just trust in its process.
I am a psychologist working with children recovering from trauma, and the process above seems to mirror the therapeutic processes that I see in my practice. I would encourage anyone who had struggled with experiences where they have felt less than attuned with, to meet Essie and the community to see if they could see themselves having a place there.”

We decided to remove our daughter from the education system because of levels of trauma and anxiety.
It was hard to know how to move forward as she was still very keen to be part of a community and keen to learn.
